Twinsburg is a suburban city in Summit County, Ohio, midway between Akron and Cleveland and is part of the Akron metropolitan area.
Twinsburg, along with Hudson, Aurora, and Solon were all towns that were home to some of my ancestors.
We spent a couple days here in 1980 researching my genealogy.

Tombstones of Nancy and William Chamberlin, Locust Grove Cemetery, Twinsburg, Ohio, 1980.

Joel Chamberlin's monument, Locust Grove Cemetery, Twinsburg, Ohio, 1980.
Joel was one of nine children of William Chamberlin and Nancy Gaylord (above).
Joel actually died in a place called Clear Creek in California during the gold rush.
There were apparently several Clear Creeks at this time and I have never been able to tie down the site.
By excavating around the sinking monument, we found references to two children we didn't know about,
Sophronia and Joel G, Jr. who died at 5 months and 1 year, respectively.

Three additional generations of Chamberlins pose by Joel Chamberlin's monument.

Tombstone of Hiram and Clarinda Chamberlin, Locust Grove Cemetery, Twinsburg, Ohio, 1980.
Hiram was a brother to William Chamberlin, father to William (above) and grandfather to Joel.
